How It Works

The Advocate Method

A clear, four-step process, so you always know what's happening with your claim and what comes next.

Step 1: Free Claim Review

Complete our secure intake (about 10 minutes). Tell us about your service, conditions, and any VA or SSA decisions, and upload what you have. We review it at no cost and call you to talk through what we see.

Step 2: Evidence Strategy

If we're a good fit, we map out what VA needs to see for each issue: records to request, lay statements to gather, and whether a medical opinion is needed. We also flag deadlines and risks, like effective-date windows and possible reductions.

Step 3: File & Represent

You sign VA Form 21-22a appointing us (SSA-1696 for Social Security) and, where applicable, a fee agreement. We prepare and file your claim, decision review, or appeal, and we handle communication with VA, including exam scheduling questions and requests for evidence.

Step 4: Decision & Next Steps

When the decision arrives, we go over it with you line by line: each rating, effective date, and favorable finding. If something is wrong, we'll explain your options and deadlines.

You only pay if we winThere's no charge for the review, and VA rules don't allow fees for help with a claim before VA's first decision on it. For reviews and appeals, our fee is 20% of past-due benefits (25% for Social Security, capped by SSA), only if we win. Details.
